1.1. ROADING & BUILDING RECRUITMENT LIMITED (RB Recruitment) (the Company) operates as a recruitment agency and provides workers to carry out services for its third-party clients (Client or Clients). The Company collects information that may be used to identify you.
1.2. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Company collects, how that information is used, and how it is stored. You can contact us at any time if you have a question.
Collection of personal information
1.1. The Company may collect Personal Information from you, including:
1.1.1. Name;
1.1.2. Contact details including phone numbers, emails and addresses;
1.1.3. IRD number;
1.1.4. Nominated bank account for receipt of payment from the Company;
1.1.5. Kiwisaver details (if applicable);
1.1.6. Driver licence and/or passport information;
1.1.7. Credit Check; and
1.1.8. New Zealand Police Record and/or Ministry of Justice Record.
1.2. Ways that the Company collects Personal Information from you include:
1.2.1. When you provide information through forms, applications or social media; or
1.2.2. When you communicate with or send correspondence to us; or
1.2.3. From third-party agencies when authorised by you (for example our payroll system).
1.3. You can choose whether or not you provide your Personal Information to the Company. However if you refuse to provide the requested information, the Company may be unable to employ you, place you with a potential employer, or provide services under its Terms of Business.
1.4. The Company collects your Personal Information in order to:
1.4.1. Run credit checks to assess whether to give credit to a potential Client (Potential Client);
1.4.2. Administer employment agreements/independent contracts and payments;
1.4.3. Exchange correspondence with you;
1.4.4. Maintain an internal record of communications and business dealings with you and Clients;
1.4.5. Deal with any complaints or disputes;
1.4.6. Answer queries or provide information requested by you (including any marketing and promotional material where you have consented to receiving them); and
1.4.7. Comply with relevant laws or regulations.
STORAGE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
1.1. The Company keeps your information safe by:
1.1.1. locking any paper files in filing cabinets/offices;
1.1.2. only allowing certain staff to access it;
1.1.3. storing digital copies in a database with restricted access;
1.1.4. ensuring its Clients agree to abide by the Privacy Act 2020.
1.2. The Company is required to keep any employment records for the duration of the employment relationship and at least a further six years.
1.3. Any non-employment-related Personal Information will be kept as follows:
1.3.1. Recruitment Candidate Personal Information: for the duration of the recruitment process and for a further 12 months.
1.3.2. Client Personal Information: for the duration of the contractual relationship and a further 12 months.
1.3.3. Potential Client Personal Information: until either:
1.3.3.1. the Potential Client becomes a Client; or
1.3.3.2. either party advises that the Potential Client will not become a Client and for a further six months.
1.3.4. Any other timeframes dictated by law.
1.4. After the above timeframes the Company securely destroys the Personal Information by securely deleting all electronic/digital files and destroying all paper files.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to ask for a copy of any Personal Information the Company holds about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you would like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at:
